Area 51 is responsible for all of the technological innovations since the Roswell crash, which itself was actually an extra-terrestrial robotic probe sent here to gather information on Earth, that had crash-landed. The Galatea explosion was caused by a second attempt of this extra-terrestrial culture to send a probe. A multi-government agency called the Directive captured this one, and is using the technology to create robotic spies to infiltrate organizations all over the world.
